How can you tell if your child is allergic to yellow jackets?
Last summer, my daughter was playing in the yard and hit a yellow jacket and was stung. His foot swelled up about 3x its original size. I'm about to enroll in Girl Scouts. They are making me fill out a questionnaire, and one of the Question is whether you have any allergies. I can not afford to take her to an allergist, do I put it near a hive to find out (and obviously she will get bitten ...), And see if it swells up again? Thanks in advance!
to be child abuse!: O) I know you're kidding ... I hope you're kidding! Most people stung by bees, wasps and other insects has great reaction to it. some swelling, numbness of an acute pain and lost consciousness. I'd say ask her to wear good shoes and take along some natural insect repellent.
