Paintball Armor
Paint balling in the streets of Chicago.. What are the consequences?
Hey so my buddies at UIC live across a river from me at DePaul's UCC. Its about a mile down Harrison Street. Anyways so I came up with the bright idea of capture the flag as soon as I saw that river as a border.
What would be the consequences of running out into the streets of Chicago decked out in full paintball body armor and guns? Would be get arrested or something? What would be the technical charges against us? Thanks xD
1) You know you are carrying a paintball gun... the cop does not. He sees a bunch of people with guns running around, he is threatened. He has a real gun. I personally, in his case, might start firing.
2) You would be charged with disturbing the peace and probably public weapon possessions charges. Perhaps a terrorism (Not like Islamic status, but it could easily be considered terrorism because of the, well, terror it would cause) charge. If any property was damage or people hurt EVERYBODY involved could be charged.
3) Go call the Police Department and other local government officials and ask them if you can organize a paintball event. It is quite possible that if you lobby for it they might set you loose in a safe environment. Perhaps not shut down part of Chicago (I don't know anything about the city so I'm talking out of my ass here), but they may cooperate with you so that you can enjoy a game of paintball on opposite sides of the river.
